How many days do you need in Daraa?
The town itself takes half a day: the Mosque of Omar and the basalt fabric around it in the old town, then the railway station to the north-east. The way to fill the rest of the day is to drive north — Izra is forty kilometres away and its church of 515 is worth half a day on its own. Do not try to squeeze Bosra into the same day: it is forty kilometres east, the ancient town asks for four hours at least, and it deserves a day of its own. Coming from Damascus for the day means three hours on the road, so leave early.
